Careers Guidance

All students receive Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance to prepare them for key transition points and as an important part of preparation for their future working life, including advice and guidance about future choices and the development of employability skills.

We recognise students have different career guidance needs at different stages, and we have tailored our careers provision to ensure that all students receive the best guidance and support, so they can make informed decisions and plan for their future careers.

Students in Year 7 – 11 will take part in a stable, structured careers programme that helps them to understand their education, training, employment and other progression opportunities available to them.

In order to give our students the opportunities to learn about work, employment and the skills that are needed to succeed in the workplace, we work effectively in partnership with other educational establishments, employers and external providers. This is done through a range of enrichment activities including: careers fairs, external visits, guest speakers and work experience opportunities.
